Welcome to the new Year at the ISH. The shMoodle has changed (for those of you who were here last year). You will be using it a lot this year! The Technology Department would like to start the year with some advice:
http://www.clker.com 1. Get a USB stick - They are really cheap at the moment (about €5-6 for 1GB). Great for backups of your work, and to bring in your homework. It's a good idea to scratch your name into the USB stick (carefully). This way if you lose it somebody will know who it belongs to.NOTE: Make sure you have a copy of your work on your computer AND your USB stick - Do not carry one copy of all your work in your pocket.
2. Press save (Apple + S) regularly. By regularly we do mean every 5 minutes or so. Computers like to crash just when you need to print your work!3. Keep an open mind when using our computers. They are FULL of great software and you can do amazing things with them! Don't be scared of experimenting with different ideas. |
